The island of Oxtopia is a fictional creation of mine and is blessed with a growing population. Hence the need for this second book in the series. Oxford Castaways 2 continues the unravelling of people’s life journeys.
We tend to think of journeys as involving physical travel and certainly one of the 40 castaways in this latest book, John Buckley, ventured into the dark heart of conflict in Cambodia, Sudan and Haiti. But this book mostly tells stories of a different kind of journey; life journeys, often intriguing, serendipitous, funny, sad, destination sometimes side-tracked, destinies sometimes fulfilled, but all wending in and out of the city of Oxford.
