One reason, I agreed to let Claret Press publish it, is because I would not have passed my 11Plus without access to Luton Central Library. I wrote a feature for this month’s Kennington Chronicle on the importance of libraries. Libraries are still under threat. They don’t cost a great deal to run but a lot of people don’t get how important they are for upward mobility .
